Fourth Day of Creation
By Ali Sadeeq, Staff Writer
Kano, Nigeria − Paleozoic Era (period, epoch or era), 550-570 million years ago:
Early in this period, the enormous expansion in the diversity and complexity of life occurred, and numerous and varied forms representing full-fledge members of almost every major animal group we know today first appeared during the Cambrian explosion. Almost all the different body plans found in animals today i.e. the way an animal is designed with heads, legs, rear end, claws, tentacles and antennae also originated during this era. Though most of the early complex life forms of the Cambrian explosion lived in the sea, no land animals were known and there is no indication of protozoan life. [More]
Honey: Benefits of the Golden Liquid
By Salwa Zahabi, Staff Writer
Beirut, Lebanon − Honey is considered as one of the wonders of nature. It is simply a nectar that is collected by bees from the flowers` blossoms. Then this nectar is moved into the beehive and changed by the worker bees. After that, the worker bees remove the liquid from this nectar. Honey is the “finished product”, which is a heavy syrup with 12 to 20 percent moisture and 80 to 85 percent sugar. The bees serve as tireless creatures for having to visit two million flowers in order for them to produce only one pound of this rich golden liquid, which is a natural alternative to table sugar. The New Wonders of the World − Part III of III
By Ghassan Teffaha, Staff Writer
Beirut, Lebanon − Part III − Machu Picchu, located at 2,430 meters above sea level on a mountain ridge above the Urubamba Valley in Peru. Also known as "The Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu is probably the most recognizable symbol of the Inca Empire.
The construction in Machu Picchu is classic Inca architectural style of polished dry-stone walls of regular shape. The Incas were masters of this technique, called ashlar in the local Inca dialect, in which blocks of stone are cut to fit together tightly without mortar. Many junctions in the central city are so perfect that not even a knife fits between the stones. Unlike the ancient Egyptians, the Incas never used the wheel in any practical manner. The technology and mechanisms they used to move and place all the enormous blocks of stones is still a mystery to our day. Many archeologists believe that they used hundreds of men to push the stones up inclined planes. [More]
Message to Potential suicide bombers
By Danellandia Foundation
All those considering becoming suicide bombers and all those considering killing or hurting people should be convinced that they are being misled.
They are clearly misled as it is a blasphemy to "God" (or to whatever name the Superior Being is given) to even consider to kill or hurt people. They are misled because they do not have the right kind of intelligence. They are misled into believing there will be a reward for their acts. Killing people can never enter the mind of someone who is cosmically intelligent and spiritually mature. Violence in any form damages that intelligence and reduces spiritual maturity. [More]
The True American Dream
By Danellandia Foundation
We are all human beings and deep down inside we share the same dream. Yes, indeed the same dream. Without us knowing we dream the same. We dream of true humanity; or a world where human values are the core of all business or all activities.
Human values are the basis of peace. Peace is the best environment for love (in all its facets - starting from a smile). And peace and love together mean happiness. [More]

Food Production
By Earth-Humankind Society
Trinidad, West Indies − Consider this scenario in, say, 2050: A future time when a sizeable and important proportion of the world’s land has yet to be covered by 23 feet of salt water caused by rising sea levels due to the melting of the Greenland ice shield or yet to be covered by even one millimeter of salt water but a time when sea water had not even appeared above the surface of the ground yet had already seeped underground and contaminated the water tables and aquifers of the vast, low-lying, coastal farm lands around the world and render all the trillions of gallons of fresh water in these places useless for agriculture (and drinking and cooking) – and these places are where 40% of the world’s food is grown (and an equal percentage of people live, which, at that time, has been predicted to be nine billion). The political, economic and social consequences will be mind boggling. [More]
