Walk against Climate Change

Beirut, Lebanon − IndyACT, the League of Independent Activists, cordially invites you to take part in our ‘Climate Change Walkathon’ supported by HSBC
Date:December 9, 2007
Time: Starting 10 a.m
Place: Ein El Mreisseh (beginning of Corniche), Beirut.
Climate change is a global problem, and it can only be solved if the whole world commits to solving it.
This 3km walkathon is part of the ‘Global Day of Action Against Climate Change’ that is taking place on the same day in more than 75 countries around the World. Every year this international day is organized at the same time when world governments meet for the Kyoto Protocol to discuss future actions against climate change. Last year more than 75,000 individuals participated in this event in Australia, and 20,000 in London. This is the first year that the Arab World participates in this event.
Please join us in Beirut, as we join the rest of the citizens of the World in this global day of action.
