Iridology

Beirut, Lebanon - The eyes are now acknowledged as mirrors of the body and likened to miniature television screens recording the condition of the various organs and tissues throughout the body.
Iridology is an entirely different concept that claims actual disease, both physical and emotional, and can be diagnosed by visible changes in the pattern of the iris. Iridology, also called iris diagnosis, is based on the questionable assumption that every organ in the human body has a corresponding location within the iris, and that one can determine whether an organ is healthy or diseased by examining the iris rather than the organ itself.
A doctor can learn about the inner workings of the body through studying marking in the iris. A person's state of health and disease can be diagnosed from the color, texture, and location of various pigment flecks in the eye. Every fiber, color, pattern, and defect in the iris is believed to have a referred correlation with a disease manifestation or organ system malfunction. The iris reflects the condition of the tissues (e.g. inflammation, acidity, toxicity, congested lymph, hardened arteries, etc.). A close examination of the iris can give information about high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes. It is well known that certain emotional states such as stress, sexual stimulation, and intoxication with certain substances can cause characteristic changes in pupil size.
The iridologist will examine the iris of your eyes using either a slit lamp or just a penlight and magnifying glass. Many iridologists will also obtain photographs of your iris with a specially designed camera, and then considerably enlarge the photos. Iridology is a non-invasive diagnostic technique which requires no needles, no anesthetic or drugs.
The greatest feature and main advantage of iridology over other forms of health screening is that changes appear in the iris before the physical symptoms develop, and therefore, preventive action may be taken to improve health and avoid those diseases, which might otherwise follow. Iridology is considered as more of a diagnostic tool than a treatment. It is not a medical exam or a definitive diagnosis of disease; rather it proposes to recognize toxins and their locations, stages of inflammation, inherent weakness or strength, general health level, and biochemical deficiencies. As a result, iridologists are aware that this practice should not be used alone but in conjunction with other medical sciences.
Consulting a trained iridologist can avoid for the patient many exploratory operations. This would save cost, time, and suffering on the part of the patient. Many healthcare doctors have used this form of analysis along with other diagnostic techniques to facilitate a more complete understanding of their patients` health care needs.
What is most peculiar about the iris is that each is unique and unchangeable, so much that many claim that the iris is a better identifier of an individual than fingerprints.
With its numerous fibers and colors, the iris is as unique as your fingerprints.
